SBI to lay off 30 thousand employees preparing to forcibly give vrs to all

 SBI अपने 30 हजार कर्मचारियों को करेगा बाहर, सभी को जबरन VRS देने की तैयारी भारतीय स्टेट बैंक करीब 30 हजार कर्मचारियों को एक झटके में बाहर कर सकता हैं. बैंक कर्मचारियों के लिए एक बड़ी स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति योजना (VRS) लाने की तैयारी कर रहा है. एसबीआई के कुल कर्मचारियों की संख्या 31 मार्च 2020 तक 2.49 लाख थी. नई दिल्ली : भारतीय स्टेट बैंक अपने कर्मचारियों की संख्या में भारी कटौती की तैयारी कर रहा है. देश का सबसे बड़ा बैंक करीब 30 हजार कर्मचारियों की छटनी एक झटके में कर सकता है. SBI कर्मचारियों के लिए एक बड़ी स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति योजना (VRS) लाने की तैयारी कर रहा है.  SBI के कुल कर्मचारियों की संख्या 31 मार्च 2020 तक 2.49 लाख थी, जबकि मार्च 2019 तक यह संख्या 2.57 लाख थी. प्रस्तावित ड्रॉफ्ट के मुताबिक, कुल 11565 अधिकारी और 18625 कर्मचारी VRS स्कीम के लिए पात्र होंगे. बैंक का कहना है कि लागत में कटौती के लिए यह पहल की जा रही है. इससे बैंक का लगभग दो हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की बचत होगी. इसमें कहा गया कि यदि योजना के तहत रिटायरमेंट के योग्य कर्मचारियों में से 30 फीसदी भी VR...

Punjab gives 50 lakh compensation to the family of soldiers killed in Jammu and Kashmir

  Chandigarh: The Punjab government today announced an ex-gratia amount of ₹ 50 lakh for the family of Subedar Rajesh Kumar, who was killed in a shootout by Pakistani soldiers along the Line of Control in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. A government job was also announced for a member of the soldier's family. According to an official statement, Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh said that Rajesh Kumar, the subedar of 60 SATA regiments for the country, had passed away. Rajesh Kumar was a resident of Kalichpur Kalota village of Mukerian in Hoshiarpur district. She is survived by her parents, wife, daughter and a son. His father, Ram Chander, retired from the same unit as a sergeant.

India's first air corridor: IndiGo flies plasma from Bengaluru to COVID-19 patient in Srinagar

 New Delhi: Two bags of complexes for the COVID-19 patient were transported by IndiGo on connecting flights from Bangalore to Srinagar today. Indigo said in a press release, "The plasma was first flown by a connecting flight from Bangalore to Delhi on 6E 363 and Srinagar 6E 2486 to Delhi." The low-cost carrier mentioned that the plasma was transferred for more than eight hours and successfully delivered at the government hospital in Srinagar on Tuesday. The airline said it was placed in the on-board cargo areas of the two flights. IndiGo said it was "the second airline in the world to have successfully delivered on-board cargo to Plasma". 69,921 coronavirus cases in India in 24 hours, 36.91 lakh total cases

  NEW DELHI There have been more than 36.91 lakh cases of coronavirus cases in India after 69,921 infections in the last 24 hours. 28,39,882 patients in the country have recovered from the infection. JEE Main Live Update: Entrance Examination for IITs starts today; Mask, social distancing at centers

  New Delhi:  The Joint Entrance Examination-Main or JEE for admission to IITS begins today across the country amid a surge in coronavirus cases and opposition by several non-BJP ruled states. An extensive list of guidelines was released last week by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is in-charge of conducting competitive entrance tests across the country. Mandatory face masks and gloves, staggered entry and seating to ensure social distancing are some of the guidelines students have been asked to follow. They will also have to carry their own water bottles and hand sanitisers. The JEE is scheduled to be held between September 1 and September 6.   Ranchi: A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed on Monday in the Jharkhand High Court against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav for allegedly violating the jail manual and "misuse" of the RIMS Hospital director's bungalow. Top court for states on government doctors quota in postgraduate courses

  New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday said that states have the right to make special provisions for giving quota in admission to PG courses to government doctors serving in remote areas. A five-judge constitution bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra said states have the legislative capacity to make special provisions for reservation. The apex court held that the Medical Council of India (MCI) regulation which forbids such reservation is arbitrary and unconstitutional. The bench said that MCI is a statutory body and has no power to make provisions for reservation. The Tamil Nadu Medical Officers Association and others contended that the benefits of reservation from the decision would give a boost to those working in government hospitals and rural areas. The bench also included Indira Banerjee, Vineet Saran, MR Shah and Anirudh Bose.

While the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled to be held on 13 September, the Engineering Entrance Examination JEE-Main scheme has been started from 1-6 September. "A total of 7.6 lakh candidates for JEE-Mains and 11.49 lakh candidates of NEET have downloaded the admit cards till date," a senior ministry official said. 8.58 lakh candidates have registered for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and 15.97 lakh candidates for MEE.
