Telangana MP's man running fake Facebook account arrested

 Rangareddy: A teenage boy, who allegedly created a fake Facebook account of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha MP Joginipalli Santosh Kumar and tried to cheat people with his money, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, Telangana police said .


According to an official release of the Telangana Police, the boy was a resident of Govardhan in Mandaura, a village named Brahmana in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

On August 25, the police received a complaint from the victim, stating that she had received a Facebook friend request from Mr. Joginipalli and accepted her friend request through Facebook Messenger.

"The boy, through Facebook, reviewed Mr. Joginipalli's profile details and made a plan using his name and background to easily earn money from his followers. He created a fake profile of the MP using his photo and Sent a friend request to a person. (Victim) said.

According to the complaint, the teenage boy was chatting in Hindi language by giving Google pay number.

"Acting on the complaint, the police started inquiring about the profile and came to know that he is not Santosh Kumar Joginipalli and it is a hoax. During the investigation, the boy was apprehended on 28 August. The police gave evidence of the material Confiscated. The one that was used in the commission of the crime, "the release said.
