Accused of throwing 2 children off roof in Ghaziabad arrested: Police

Ghaziabad: One person in Ghaziabad arrested after throwing two children from the roof of a four-storey building in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.


He said the incident occurred in the morning when the two brothers, identified as Tribhuvan (9) and Prabhuvan (8), were flying kites from the roof of the building on Guldhar Road in Kavi Nagar area.


Police said the children were seriously injured and were admitted to a nearby hospital.

The boys told police that a Harendra, who lives in the ground floor of the building, allegedly threw them off the roof in Ghaziabad arrested.

An FIR has been registered against Harendra under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code and he has been arrested, SP (City) Manish Mishra told PTI.

Aircraft showing on OLX at Aligarh University Campus; Proctor says it’s fake

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh):  An IAF aircraft installed on the campus of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was shown listed on online website OLX with a sale price of over Rs 9 crore on Monday. However, university authorities have clarified that the post on the website is false and is an attempt to defame the institution. "The post on OLX about the sale of aircraft installed in the campus is wrong. University has not taken any step to auction or sell it. We are looking into the matter. It''s an attempt to defame the university," said Mohd Wasim Ali, AMU Proctor. The aircraft installed at the university in 2009 as a symbol of the Indian Air Force (IAF) was listed on OLX for sale for Rs 999,99,999 on August 3. However, as soon as the information started spreading on social media, the post was deleted from the website.
